Christ Loves the Church

Ephesians 5:25;  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. 

Christ love was so great for His people He was williing to give up all the riches of heaven that you and I might be partakers in the glory of heaven.  Would we also not give up our love of self for service in God’s Church.  When we give up self, we become part of the body of Christ which Christ is the head.
