But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always incere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteouness. James 3:17, 18.
The author of Matthew 5:9 declares Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be sons (and daughters) of God.
The Paul in Hebrews and in Romans gives us these words. Strive for peace with everyone, for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14 while Romans 12:18 says; If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
The Psalmist tells us in Psalm 34:13-14 Keep you tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
God pursues us and when he finds us asks us to in turn pursue peace. That peace the surpasses all understand.
