Haggai: Living with a Kingdom Perspective

forward marchTo the Chosen, the Command to Move Forward.

Zerubbabel, who was heir to the throne, but found himself only the governor of the Remnant of Israel came a message of hope.

Zerubbabel is representative of all God’s chosen both small and great that use wisely the resources given to them to further God’s work. He was faithful and courageous. Through all these trials, temptation and the discouragement of trying to lead a people a promise was given.

“I will shake heaven and earth. I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms; I will destroy the strength of the Gentile kingdoms. I will overthrow the chariots and those who ride in them; The horses and their riders shall come down, Everyone one by the sword of his brother. In that day, says the LORD of Hosts, ‘I will take you, Zerubbabel My servant the Son of Shealtiel, . . . and will make you like a signet ring; for I have chosen you,’ says the LORD of Hosts.”

For all the faithful remnant of Spiritual Israel like the Remnant of Israel of old, the promise is given that faithful service and remaining clean, untouched by things that are unholy will result in one day seeing the unholy, unfaithful, unclean receiving their just reward, while the faithful who have moved forward at great cost will receive their reward of life everlasting with their creator and God.

God will seal His special people with his ring on their foreheads they will serve their God forever and ever, Amen.

How are you managing the talents given to you by God? Are you constantly rubbing shoulders with things that are unclean yet expecting to remain clean? God calls us to move forward but we can only be effective when we completely surrender to him and then and only then will the dew fall and the harvest will ripen and ripen to a hundred-fold.

May God bless us all as we fully and completely surrender to Him, using our God given talents to move forward the work of kingdom growing which is the work given to us and in faith may we live upon every promise of God. Amen
