Dear Lord, I have read in Your Word that, “He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayers shall be an abomination.” (Proverbs 28:9). Will You grant me obedience so that my prayers can be answered?
God has promised that he will give us a new heart to know Me (Jeremiah 24:7). And He has promised “I will . . . cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.” Ezekiel 36:27.
Then He will cause our prayer to become: Dear Lord, I thank You that “whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep his commandments, and do these things that are pleasing in His sight (I John 3:22).
