A Harmonizing Spirit

One of the hardest things in life is creating harmony, the likeness of mind and spirit between two people or a group of people. When there is disharmony, God will withhold his blessings. Even within the family unit disharmony between a husband and wife will cause blessings from heaven to be withheld.

I am not talking about the small things like squeezing the tooth paste tube from the end or the middle, rather I am talking about disharmony that come from one being a Christian and another not being be a Christian or calling themselves a Christian without actually practices what they profess.

In I Peter 3:6-9, Peter gives all us advise on how we are to interact with each other as a family and as part of being the family of God.

If we see that our marriages and our relationship with God is full of disharmony, then claim the promise as found in Ezekiel 36:26, 27. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you: I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”

John the beloved disciple of Jesus and Revelator of end time events states in I John 4:7, “Let us love one another: for love is of God.” If we truly love God and surrender our will to him then he will answer our prayer as we claim the promise that God will create in us a new heart of flesh and a new Spirit, as The Holy Spirit comes and lives within us.

Then our prayer can become: I thank You, dear Lord, for giving me of Your Spirit. Now, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, My strength, and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14).
