I hope this quick note finds you all well and strong in the Lord. If you are not well or strong in the Lord, then I want you to know that you are in my prayers even if we have not formally met.
The purpose of writing to you is two-fold. First, I would like to thank all those that faithfully read my blog and look forward to the posts even though lately it has been inconsistent. The second item I would like to share with you all, is that sometime next week we will start a new series. It will be on the life, times, and message of Jonah the prophet. Here comes the challenge. I don’t want this series to drag out over a month and I do not want the posts to go over 700 words. For me, that is a tough challenge. I often get long winded as those who have read my posts on Matthew, Mark, John and other books of the Bible have shown.
I will be adapting this new series from the sermons I am developing. Usually my sermons are in the range of 20 to 27-minutes. Obviously in that amount of time, more than 700 words are spoken, so it will take some effort to keep the posts interesting, informative and short enough so that all will remain engaged. The preaching series looks to take three sermons, so the hope is that the series on the Bible in Your Hand will be about 5 or 6 posts long.
Until the series on Jonah starts, I will continue posting the present series entitled, “Lift Him Up.” I hope you will enjoy this new series on Jonah.
Blessings,
Pastor Lester
