The God Who Governs the Nations

Scripture: Zechariah 6:1–8
Theme: God is sovereign over world events

Devotional

The four chariots represent God’s agents overseeing the earth. Despite appearances, the world is not out of control—God is governing history.

Believers can rest in the truth that God’s sovereignty extends beyond individual lives to the entire world. Nothing unfolds outside His authority, even when global circumstances seem chaotic.

Reflection Questions

  1. How does God’s sovereignty comfort you in uncertain times?
  2. What fears do you need to surrender to God’s control?
  3. How can you pray with greater trust in God’s worldwide rule?

Prayer

“Father, I trust You with the nations and with my life.”

Memory Verse

Zechariah 6:8 — “They have given rest to My Spirit in the north country.”
