True Religion, Not Ritual

Scripture: Zechariah 7

Devotional

The returned exiles ask about fasting, but God says their rituals were self-centered. What He wants is justice, mercy, compassion, and humility. True worship flows from transformed hearts, not repeated ceremonies.

Religion without righteousness becomes hypocrisy. God cares far more about how we treat others than how consistently we perform rituals.

2. How can you show justice and mercy this week?
3. What does sincere worship look like in daily life?

“Lord, transform my heart so my worship reflects Your character.”
