Forgive and Restore One Who Repents; Love Him

II Corinthians 2:7, 8

You ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow.  So I urge you now to reaffirm your love for Him.

When Adam and Eve sinned, they became separated from face to face communication with their creator.  Their Creator then became their Saviour as the whole plan of salvation came into being.  Our Creator and Saviour has promised when we come before Him seeking forgiveness, He will restore us to our former position and glory.

How then can we deny the same to those the come to us asking for forgiveness.  As Christ’s representatives on earth, are we not to have the same Character as Christ.  If Christ our Saviour is willing to forgive and forget, shall we not do the same.
