Everlasting Peace Comes Through

As we all learned last time, God gives peace to those whose minds are fixed on Him. We were reminded of this in Isaiah 26:3-4; You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in Yah, the LORD is everlasting strength.

So the natural question is to becomes, how do we achieve this everlasting peach. Philippians 4:6, 7 give us the clue we all need. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Paul makes it clear in this passage from Philippians, it is with prayer, our daily conversation with God that we will experience God’s peace. How did he describe this peace? A peace that exceeds anything we can understand. Prayer will guard your hearts and minds Jesus in peace.

Why Jesus? Why is this gift from Jesus through the Holy Spirit? Because Jesus is the Prince of Peace. As it says in Isaiah 9:6; And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

How wonderful is Christ, He is our Counselor! He is our Mighty God! He is Everlasting and the Father of the human race because he created us! And because he is our Prince of Peace! After hearing all this, should our first desire be stop and thank God.

In our next post we will learn more about this peace that that surpasses all understanding.
