Results of Knowing God

John 17:3, And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

The experimental knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ transforms man into the image of God. It gives to man the mastery of himself, bringing every impulse and passion of the lower nature under the control of the higher powers of the mind. It makes its possessor a son of God and an heir of heaven. It brings him into communion with the mind of the infinite, and opens to him the rich treasures of the universe

There are three facts common to man. We all have a definite opinion about Gods character. Our attitude toward God, our treatment toward others, and our receptivity of truth are determined by these opinions. All of us were born predisposed to possess a false concept of God, which in turn has been confirmed and extended by environmental educational influences. Unless delivered from this and initiated into a true knowledge of God, it will be impossible to enter into a full and perfect Christian experience, and the prospects of eternal life will be at risk. The Jews hoped that Jesus was the one to restore the lost glory that was theirs. When Jesus refused to be their King they were ready to crucify Him for treason

The character of God is still the most understood and critical issue. Will we also reject Christ and repeat the history of our forefathers?

Only be coming into a much Lester and deeper understanding of the character of God and Christ can we advance in truth. Such a knowledge is not acquired in a moment or by feeble intermittent efforts. It is a matter of both learning and unlearning.

As we approach the midnight darkness of the last days the same misrepresentation of God are held by humankind. Let us patiently examine the evidence.
