The flying scroll represents God’s curse against sin. The woman in the basket represents wickedness being removed from the land. God’s work is not only about restoring His people but purifying them.

Holiness always involves both removal and renewal. God removes what corrupts so He can establish what is holy. Personal and corporate repentance play a crucial role in this ongoing work.
