We being Christians are told that we should restore with gentleness one who has fallen into sin.
Galatians 6:1 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass you who are spiritual, restore such a sone in the spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted.
If our spiritual brother or sister falls into sin and honestly seeks forgiveness, we should forgive and forget. For love keep no record of wrongs. I Corinthians 13:5
When we repent before our heavenly Father, He blots out the record of the things we have done wrong, then should we not do the same for our fellow mankind. In so doing, we are showing Christ’s love toward others as Christ showed us the Father’s love.
