“Fear not,” He says; “for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour.” Isaiah 43:1–3.

There are three stories in the gospels of Jesus walking on the water. They are Matthew 14:22-33; Mark 6:45-52; and finally John 6:15-21. In each story, The disciples are commanded to get into the boat and go to another place. Each time they delay in going and so they are caught in a windstorm that stops their forward progress. In fact, they are in danger of being pushed backward or far worse their little boat capsid and they all perish.

But Jesus comes to them upon the water and almost walks past them before they recognize Him. “Fear not says Jesus.”  To all those that feel lost, Jesus says “Fear not for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; you are mine. When troubles surround you and you feel wind tossed on the waters of life, or that life will overflow you, I will be with you. When life is in flames around us, keep looking to Christ and you shall not be burned. For I am the LORD your God the Holy One of Israel and thy Saviour.

So today, if you are troubled, lonely and broken hearted we can rest assured that we have a saviour that felt all the human emotions that we feel. He felt separated and alone from those He love as He hung upon the cross. He felt as if He felt like he was drowning in the sea of despair or burning in the fire of strife.

Therefore keep your eyes firmly fixed upon the only sure thing in life, and that is Jesus. It is when we keep our eyes fixed upon Him and allow Him into our life that we immediately get to where we are going.

Blessings, you are all in my prayers.

    1. Good Morning Dear Sister in Christ
Thank you for the words of encouragement. At this time, I do not have time for additional blogging. As much as I would like to, it just isn’t possible. Lots of exciting things are happening and God is not directing me to contribute to another blog at this time. As I have said before, please contact me after the first of the year and we will see if something can be worked out. I am not saying no, just cannot find the time at this time. Do hope you will understand.

      Blessings,
      Pastor Lester
